Hello from here! I sure hope this post makes it! I've tried occasionally
during the summer, and *always* get it back with information that village
doesn't exist!?!?!?!?!

Mark Shoulson has brought up an interesting topic on Romulan.
Marc Okrand has said in the interview included in >HolQeD< Issue 2, that
he has created some Romulan and Vulcan for the films.

Anyone know what Romulan he was referring to? The Spock/Saavik speech in
TWOK?

Or does he know the Morwoods? And does Diane Duane confer with him?
In the text, she discusses how Romulan was created from Older High Vulcan.
E.g., the self-people-term, Rihann (plural, Rihannsu) is supposed to be
equivalent to the Modern Vulcan, Seheik [meaning the separated].

Is this to imply that there is a pattern of change that can be used
thruout the Romulan/Vulcan languages?
Example from the above
	Romulan Vulcan
	   r s
	   i e
	   h h
	   a ei
	nn ("-ed")	(i)k ("-ed")

The -(i)k morpheme in Vulcan would be consistent with Spock, which reportedly
means the Uniter, or the United. Thus we could assume that there are
Vulcan verbs/roots "sehe(i)" and "spoc" meaning "separate" and "unite"
respectively.

I kinda like this line of thought, especially when you consider that now in
TNG, we have Spock (the Uniter) on Romulus trying to bring the Seheiks (the
Separateds) back into the fold.

Dave.
