Hu'tegh! nuq ja' Matthew Whiteacre jay'?

=>L: wanI'vammo' Quchqu'law' *meSI'na*vamDaq ghaHbogh SoSloDnI'Daj'e'
=I can translate this, but I don't understand why. Would this be better?
=L: wanI'vammo' *meSI'na*vamDaq Quchqu'bogh SoSloDnI'Daj'e' ghaj

Because of this he has an happy uncle in Messina? This seems to me to imply
the wrong things.

=>H: *pa'Duwa* qaH *be'neDIq* qel be'nI''a'wI' <-- SoSnI'puqbe''a'wI'

See Prochel's article on kinship terms in HolQeD

=>Q: toH, chegh'eghta'
=>reH belmoH 'ej DaH belmoH ghaH
=                          ^taH?

Hm. I don't think it essential.

=>L: va, be'nI'puq, qaH *be'neDIq* DanaDHa'
=>'a Durap ghaH pawDI' 'e' jIHonbe'
=What is "va" and "'a"?

TKD, p. 178 and p.55 resp. "va" is how I translate "I' faith" and "Marry".

=Durap -> Dughom?

No. "be meet with you" means "get even with you". He will be the same as you
(in that he'll do some naDHa'-ing to *you*).
