I've just received back the results from the printer, the testing of the
TrueType version of the PC format of my laserfonts is now complete. Over all
they're not quite as nice as the PostScript Type 1 fonts, but that's part of
the problem with double conversions into TrueType. Still and all, they
maintain the letterforms quite nicely and if you're using a PC (or
compatible) and are running Windows (but don't have a Type1 interpreter) then
you'll probably be glad that the TrueType fonts are now available.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, check out the premiere issue of
HolQeD. There's a display of the alphabetic characters in there of the font
KLIpIqaDmey. The lower case contains the older set of characters from TOS
and the upper case contains the writing system seen in the films and TNG.
Two typefaces on one font, hence the use of -mey.

The disk also contains a bonus font, KLIRoman, a pretty standard roman face
with a "klingonesque" feel to it. I hope you'll like it.

Anyway, the disk is $13, and is available in either Type1 or TrueType, for
either Macintosh or PC. If you want a copy send a cheque to the address
below and specify format and platform as described above. The proceeds of
course go to running the KLI, and *not* into my own pocket (in case you were
wondering).
