As I posted earlier I want to help translate Henry V into klingon.
Here is my first attempt.
It encludes ONLY the list of characters and the prologue spoken by
CHorus.
NOTES:
I have named Chorus <jatlhwI'> instead of <qoreS> because I want
to use the original meaning/origin of Chorus.
I want to transliterate the names properly so I am open to
suggestions.
I decided instead of making the war against FRANCE it is against
<DIvI'> The Federation.
In Shakespear, at least, humans *DO* love long sentences where
Klingon would be a bit more to the point. Nonetheless I tried NOT to cut
out what jatlhwI' had to say. You be the judge.
I translated HORSES to <muqengbogh Ha'DIbaHmey> I am open to you
suggetions.
In order to discribe "the perilous narrow ocean" that parts the
two empires I use <bIQtIq'a'> "A big river."
In order t say PLAY, as in a performance, as <ta'> ACCOMPLISHMENT
but this, good or bad, can also mean EMPIROR.
Because Chorus/jatlhwI' begs for mercy because he cant
do justice to such a great story on such a simple stage he might perhaps
best NOT be cast as a Klingon. He cowers too much.
Please point out the obvious mistakes and ambiguities that I can
find.
I welcome you suggestion.
