Ok, so this discussion has been taking place about glottal stops because
we can't seem to find any Okrandian example explaining specifically the
proper pronunciation of {'} at the beginning of a word.
I offer this from PK:
Okrand, The Master: "Remember to pause ever so slightly _TWICE_ in the
middle of the word for "Rokeg bloodpie".
It's {ro'qegh 'Iwchab}, not *{roqeghIwchab}."
So there. We have proof that an opening {'} is pronounced as we had
speculated. All the same, we probably would have decided on such a
pronunciation anyhow, but now at least we know where to point an
antagonist if this argument ever resurfaces.
