This has probably been asked many times before, but I=E2=80=99m going to ask=
=E2=80=A6
How does one negate an adverbial like {reH} or {tlhoy}?
While writing closed captions for a video I recently recorded [1], I realize=
d that I apparently tried to do this by negating the verb, but I have no ide=
a if that actually works. The two examples where it came up were:
{reH qaSbe'}
{tlhoy nI'be' HaSta tavam 'e' vItul}
The intended meanings were =E2=80=9CIt didn=E2=80=99t always happen=E2=80=9D=
and =E2=80=9CI hope this visual record is not too long=E2=80=9D, respective=
ly, but upon review, it seems like out of context (maybe even in context) th=
ey mean =E2=80=9Cit always didn=E2=80=99t happen=E2=80=9D and =E2=80=9CI hop=
e this visual record is too not long=E2=80=9D, respectively.
So=E2=80=A6 what would have been the right way to say those things? Or is th=
is another thing we don=E2=80=99t know yet?
