Actually, that's a really good example to bring up here, since the two meanings are etymologically distinct, despite being pronounced identically in American English.
It's entirely possible that the same is true of {yIntagh}. Although the "life support" definition is tempting, since it would make such a good insult, it's possible that it's just a folk etymology, and the word actually comes from a different source.
