Never used in a sentence.

ngaQ be locked/sealed/secured/fastened (v)

  ngaQ lojmIt
  The door is locked. {TKW)

ngaQmoH secure [something]

  yIngaQmoH
Secure him! (i.e. strap a prisoner in a chair; ENT "Affliction")

*{ngaQHa'} "unlock, unseal, etc." is implied but not attested although {ngaQHa'moH} "unlock [something]" appears once in the paq'batlh:

  qorDu'Daj lon lojmIt ngaQHa'moH
He leaves his kin, unlocks the gates (PB)

(TKW 186): The phrase {ngaQ lojmIt} ... is also sometimes heard in reference to a situation with an inevitable, unavoidable outcome.

(TKW 108): This phrase has two meanings: (1) "The situation has an unavoidable outcome"; (2) "The plan or commitment is firm and cannot be changed." A door ({lojmIt}, though this word may also be translated as "gate") is a symbol of escape, so a door that is locked ({ngaQ}) means there is no escape or no way out.
