KGT does contain some new tidbits, but these are likely more suited for 
advanced speakers. If you read TKD only once, and then immediately jump 
over to KGT, you probably don't understand the detailed information 
explained in KGT. There is a reason why the German translation is 
entitled "Klingon for advanced speakers".

It's like with any language, first learn the basics before reading the 
advanced book. You can definitely learn good Klingon without KGT!

Which does not mean you should not read it. :-)

Hard to calculate, but it feels more like only 1%, or even less.
