Another way to make {-chugh} clear is to note that it is actually part of a=
n "if-then" combination.  IF there is not a "then" clause, THEN you should =
not use {-chugh}.  In Klingon (as in English) you don't need to actually us=
e a word for "then" (which, this time, is {vaj}),  but whether you use the =
word or not, you need a "then" clause with {-chugh}.


bIqeqbe'chugh, vaj bIluj.  'ach bIvumqu'chugh, bIDub'egh.


And, yes, this means there are actually three words for "then":

{ghIq} "following that"

{ngugh} "at that same time"

{vaj} "because of that"
