Talking about gestures... Okrand explained one interesting way how he
found a word:
I asked whether it makes sense to follw the example of {DaHjaj} to say
things like {DaHDIS} or {DaHHogh} for "this year" or "this week". He
replied that this sounds as wrong as the english word "toyear" and
"toweek", following "today", so you cannot do that.
He then explained that he found {DaHjaj} looking at sign language, where
the gesture for "today" is made of the gestures for "now" and "day".
