That makes much more sense than the direction I was going, which was
that "hang" ({ngaH}) and "choke" ({qoch}) were both methods of
strangulation ("squeeze")... :-p

That still leaves {ngaH} to be explained, though.

I also thought "viscous", except that the core of a planet like Earth
isn't viscous. The mantle is, but not the core:
