Some elemental puns that I found:
'uSqan - the naval vessel USS Constitution was also known as Old Ironsides
Sorpuq - Cyprus (apparently its Greek pronunciation is similar to Sorpuq
backwards) was a primary copper source and origin of the English word
'copper'
julSIp - the already-mentioned obvious pun/etymology is that the sun (jul)
contains helium; less obvious is that helium was discovered by Jules Janssen
