Has any instance cropped up where you said "while X was refusing to Y" and =
had to insert -Qo'=C2=A0between -taH=C2=A0and -vIS?
It just occurred to me that -Qo'=C2=A0can be used in a non-imperative, mean=
ing refuse, and that -Qo'=C2=A0comes after all suffixes except=C2=A0a Type =
9 - so -Qo'=C2=A0should come between -taH=C2=A0and -vIS. Other than -neS, i=
t would be the only suffix technically capable of splitting these two suffi=
xes.
While *vumtaHQo'vIS vutwI' ghung Soj je'wI'pu'=C2=A0as long as the cook ref=
used to work, customers went hungry=C2=A0might technically be possible, doe=
s it sound awkward - or only as awkward as "To Boldly Go Where No-One Has G=
one Before" does to an English grammarian with a loathing of split infiniti=
ves and dangling prepositions?
