  Keep holding the hammer! TKW

TKW 120: the hammer is a symbol of power to Klingons

  HoSghaj; mupwI' rur
  powerful as a hammer KGT

KGT 129: for a Klingon, a hammer is a symbol of power. The phrase {HoSghaj; mupwI' rur} (powerful as a hammer) is based on this notion.

KGT 74f.: The general term for a percussion instrument of any kind is {'In}.... Other members of this group of instruments are hit with a stick of some kind. The stick often resembles a small hammer; when it does, it is termed {mupwI'Hom} (literally, "small striker"). A plain stick is a {naQHom} (literally, "small cane" or "small staff"). To strike the instrument with a stick is to {moq} (beat) the instrument.

SEE ALSO:
mupwI'Hom mallet (for striking a musical instrument) (n)
Hut'In nail (n)
Hut'In vIl screw (n)
wIl spike (n)

mup impact, strike (v)
qIp hit (with hand, fist, implement) (v)
moq beat [with implement] (v)

Now we can translate the English {vIttlhegh}:

"If all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail."
mupwI' neH Daghajchugh, Hut'In rur Hoch.
