Hi, I saw the thread about a possible hard disk failure yesterday. Now I'm
seeing strange messages in my /var/log/messages file.
Nov 14 02:26:32 [host] kernel: 03:22: rw=0, want=807415841, limit=2431296
Nov 14 02:26:32 [host] kernel: attempt to access beyond end of device
This repeats around 10 or 20 times a second until the machine crashes. It
comes up and you have to fsck the drive in single user mode. I'm assuming it's
a bad drive, but wanted to make sure.
Thanks,
Matt Stevenson
