I am trying to find an RPM for the more recent version of BIND (8.1.2
according to www.isc.org).
If you know where to get the bind, or how to get the code to actually
compile, please let me know. Or, better yet, is it included in Red Hat
v5.2? I tried checking the Red Hat package system on the web today, but it
appears they have a lot of broken links to go along with their new site
interface. It must be hard growing this fast!
Anyway... here is what I am trying to accomplish with BIND 8.1.2:
The ability to specify the named.pid file location. I am trying to run two
instances of named simultaneously on the same RHL v5.1 machine ... one to
server our internal network, and one to server the external network. Is
there an easier way to do this?
Please let me know if I am headed in the wrong direction with this, or how
to find this .rpm / do the compile without spending the next week figuring
out what is wrong with the Makefile(s)....
Thanks,
Justin
