Even Linux compatible modems dropping in price.
I saw an ISA V90 Linux compatible modem here for $45,
right after I bought an expensive one for $49.
There was an external V90 modem for $58.
The one I got explicitly said "This is not a Winmodem"
on the box. The marketing people seem to realize that
Winmodem is a negative term. I don't think we need
to fear Winmodems will take over.
