I've had both a 509 combo and a 590 combo (the PCI 10/100 version), and both
have/are working without any problems whatsoever. I can't get samba
running right, but I know that's not the card's problem, since I can do the
mars-nwe thang without errors, ping, etc.
I did disable pnp, and I manually set the irq and port address on the 509.
Don't know what to tell you to help beyond that.
