You have to tell your Linux box Xserver that the Solaris "Xclient" has
permission to connect. On the Linux box, start up a local X session, then
in the xterm/nxterm window, type "xhost
+inet:address/name_of_Solaris_box:0.0"

if you have your Solaris box set up in the DNS table on the Linux box, you
may want to do the above for the IP address, full DNS name, and nickname of
the Solaris box, just to be sure.

While we're on this topic (sort of) what modules do I have to install to get
rlogin capability back on my RedHat box? I formatted and re-installed RH
5.2 today, primarily to get rid of a lot of daemons that I didn't really
need, and didn't want to remove 1-by-1. When I "carefully" went through the
entire list of installation-available packages, deselecting anything I
thought I wouldn't be using in the near future, I somehow neglected to
install whichever package provides rlogin capability. (I assume this
because I can xterm into the box with a telnet launch, but not with an
rlogin launch.)

TIA
