It's happened to me (using RH 5.1), but I can't tell you why. I thought it
was related to my work at the time of adding and configuring the OSS sound
drivers - the OSS tech guys thought I might have an IRQ conflict or something,
but I couldn't find one. It was like my mouse and keyboard died - no input
possible...
