I sent this a few days ago, with no reply!!!
how to upgrade linuxthreads to version 0.6 or higher???
I am trying to install database MySQL from rpm's.
My Linux is version 3.?? It is purely for cgi program development, and I
just don't want to bother to upgrade. I have little diskspace on my
multiboot laptop.
An installation attempt of mysql said the linuxthreads 0.6 is missing (I
have 0.5 installed, it can be found in version 4.1 on redhat ftp site)
What is the easiest way to upgrade?? Where to find the file?? or is there
an easy ftp upgrade command so I would not need to find the file?? But my
linux installation might not be able to access my actual internet provider,
so a downloadable file is the only option.
I would rather not upgrade to a very new version, as this might have
dependencies that require other upgrades.
I searched in several ftp sites, redhat 5.1 does not even have this
linuxthreads rpm.
Or maybe someone has a CD with the file and can email it to me???
