My local printer is running just fine on host1 which is using Redhat 5.2. I'm
trying to setup another host (host2) to access the printer on host1 over an
internal network but having problems.
Host2 is running SuSE 5.3. I have tried to get it to use the printer on host1
but when I run lpq host1 replies that host2 doesn't have access to lp.
The SuSE system uses a hosts.lpd file to limit access by external hosts to the
local printers. How does Redhat control this?
I don't want to mess with the permissions on /dev/lp1 and have the world
printing to my system!!!
