I am intending to set up a shell server for profit using RH Linux, I am aware that due to the fact that remote (unknown) users will be accessing my system regularly, I have to make MANY efforts to secure my system.
I am fairly new to Linux, I can run the system for myself, and configure DNS, Routing and I understand the basics of Linux permissions etc.
Could somebody give me a bullet-point list of the things that need to be done to try and best secure an "open" system.
Thanks,
Adam.
