In you .bash_profile, put
export MOZILLA_HOME=/path/to/netscape/program
That may help.
People have different success with different versions of Netscape.
You do not say what version of RedHat or Netscape you are running.
You could try downloading a newer verion from Netscape (4.08 or 4.5).
For some, the libc5 version is more stable, for others, the glibc version
is more stable.
Be sure to remove the old version before installing a new one.
It is possible to have 2 versions installed ok, but there is less chance
of confusion if you stick to just one.
