Here are two questions (completely unrelated to each other) in a single
message:
1) When I switched our domain host (i.e., ISP), our newsreader -- slrn --
broke. That is, it still looks for the former news server and I cannot find
the place to change that to the new news server. I've looked and looked in
.slrnrc both globally and locally and I cannot find the reference. Also, I
cannot figure out how to make slrn grab the entire list of newsgroups and
download them so we can subscribe off-line.
If there are slrn experts out there, I'd sure like some guidance. Direct
email is OK, too.
2) The last piece of hardware I'm trying to get going with Linux is our
Tamarack scanner. When I checked the SANE homepage this brand was listed but
without any indication of support. Does anyone know how generic the backend
SANE drivers are? I really need to make this work and it's been months
without any response to my mail to the developers about this. Any and all
help greatly appreciated!
TIA,
Rich
