Installation over an NT machine...

I'm having trouble installing RH5.1 on a machine that used to be an NT4 =
server. I am having great difficulty running the install program. It =
would appear that a lot of disk operations seem to cause the screen to =
display random garbage (especially when formatting), and quite often =
RPMs won't get installed with really weird errors.

The machine itself is a P133, Award BIOS, 32MB RAM, with a Quantum =
Fireball 2.1 GB drive. I'm installing off the local CD-ROM.

I have managed to get it to install without any of the RPMS "failing" - =
but not without the screen corruption. On those occasions the system =
seems to work fine, but if I try to use rpm, startx, and some other the =
system does a core dump.

Has anyone got any help they can offer me?

Does NT do anything to your disk when it installs itself (I'm clutching =
at straws here!)..
