help with info on tape drive setup

i just purchased a iomega ditto 2 gig tape drive.
its an insider, connected to floppy cable, and what
i'm looking for is to use the bru program to back up my system.
then i realized, i didnt have this drive set up at all.
is there a how-to to set up tape drives?
can you point me in the right direction?
