The Red Hat 5.2 'sndconfig' writes a garbage /etc/conf.modules, or
just makes the backup /etc/conf.modules.bak and does not create a new
/etc/conf.modules. I have a Sound Blaster 64 Value sound card.

I am not saying this is a problem for everyone, but it was for me. I
just tried it out a few times (recreating a good /etc/conf.modules and
rebooting before each try) and the 'sndconfig' command created one of
the two problems above each of the three times I tried it.
