I am running Red Hat 5.2 (whatever comes with it), kernel 2.0.36. My
network card is the 3Com 3C900 PCI combo card. The card still works
under Win98/NT, so this is not a hardware problem. The card worked
with Red Hat 5.1 (kernel 2.0.34 and 2.0.35) and for a few days with
Red Hat 5.2 (kernel 2.0.36)
The network card driver is not loaded during boot anymore. No errors
are displayed, it looks from the messages that the driver isn't even
attempting to load. When I get to the DHCP part of my boot I get
"eth0 initialization delayed". The boot disk created during the Red
Hat 5.2 upgrade does not load the network card driver either.
Please send replies to both me and the list. Thank you.
