Here is more information.

At the installation of LILO I selected install in the master boot record.
The error message was: "An error occured during step 'Install bootloader' of
the install"

My lilo.conf file is:

boot=/dev/hda
timeout=50
prompt
vga=normal
root=/dev/hdb2
read-only
map=/boot/map
install=/boot/boot.b
image=/boot/vmlinuz-2.0.36-0.7
	label=linux
other=/dev/hda1
	label=dos
	table=/dev/hda
other=/dev/hdb5
	label=dos
	table=/dev/hdb
	map-drive=0x80
		to=0x81
	map-drive=0x81
		to=0x80

Any ideas?  Thanks.

Tom Conner
