Need info on automounting

Can someone please tell me where I can find a FAQ or HOWTO or something
which covers setting up automounting?
I would like to use my Solaris 2.6 auto_master and auto_home to guide
automounting home directories for users logging into RH 5.2 boxes. My
second choice would be to use the Linux files. I haven't been able to get
either to work.
I've searched through the man pages and /usr/doc. Now I need some help.
