Hi all,

I connect to my schools LAN via DHCP. I have read DHCP-HOWTO and have run
into a stand still. When redhat boots DHCP fails. DHCP works fine on the
same machine under Win9x. During the bootup procces my nic is loaded at
least the driver loads (e21**). dhcpcd fails at this point. (I'm using
version 0.7). When I run ifconfig i only get a listing for lo. After running
dhcpcd from the prompt I will get an eth0 listing but only for a while.
After about 2 minutes the eth0 listing disappears. Also the eth0 listing
often lists considerably more errors on RX packets then total number of
packets. Some times when running dhcpcd from the prompt I get
net_interupt(): 10 unknown_device. This does correspond to the IRQ being
used by my nic.
also dhcpcd does not create any files in /etc/dhcpc or /etc/dhcp. Any
ideas anyone?
I've tried running the following:
   dhcpcd -r
   dhcpcd -h donovan

thanks
