Hello everyone,
I have a machine that I have been able to get the Packet-Engine's version of the
yellowfin.o module to install. I can then bring up the eth0 interface without a
hitch. This goes via fiber to a CISCO Catalyst 5500 with auto-negotiation turned
off (this is what Packet-Engines has suggested). Then pinging anything but
itself is not-happening. There are link lights on both ends, and the gateway is
correct.
I have been told by those same vendor/manufacturers that they think there may be
an incompatibility between the way the driver was compiled.
It is my theory that it might work if there was a Packet-Engines' HUB at the
other end instead of the CISCO switch.
The same machine works great with WindScrows NT Server 4.
Any ideas or experiences out there?
TIA
Sincerely,
--Chris
