Hi,
I currently use fvwm2 with RH 5.0 and i'd like to customize it a bit.
First i'd like to install fvwm95 (don't laugh please). So i downloaded the
tar version at http://www.terraware.net/ftp/pub/Mirrors/FVWM95/fvwm95.html
(there is an rpm version too but as i'd prefer to know exactly what i'm
doing i prefere to configure it myself). Now i read the INSTALL file it
tells me i'll have to modify my .xinitrc or .xsession in order to start
fvwm95. I actually don't have any .xinitrc but i presume i just need to
copy or ln etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc and i cant find any xsession on my system.
Then i edit xinitrc but cant see exactly what to modify to launch fvwm95
instead of fvwm.=20
If you whish i can sent a version of my xinitrc but as i didn't touch it,
it may be similar to any basic xinitrc.
When i launch startx, it is supposed to call xinit with xinitrc and
xserverrc as parameters, but i don't have any xserverrc file anywhere is
this a problem ?
Then xinitrc is supposed to call Xmodmap and no Xmodmap file -> same=
question.
I cant find any fvwm95/2 howto, i've checked http://fvwm.themes.org and the
links then searched the RH list archive but it didn't help a lot.
If i resume : what should i do when i'll have compiled the fvwm95 to use it
instead of fvwm2 ?
Thanks for helping.
