hi Ed,
this replaces 'named.boot' in earlier versions of bind. What
u have below is the setup for a caching only nameserver with reverse
dns for 127.0.0.0 network. Hope that is some help. b.t.w. that should
be fine for a standalone box to get u started anyways. Remember to do a
man of 'resolv.conf' It also would not hurt to invest in the book called
'DNS AND BIND' in fact if u want to know all the gruesome details this
is definately the way to go.
