I am trying to get samba totally working, but am having some
problems.

I can mount nt shares without a hitch with smbmount. However,
this is a one way street.

If I try to browse the linux box that shows up in network
neighborhood I get a message that the network is busy.

Same results if I net use * \\LINUX\down.

I can ping LINUX and I get a response. Nbtstat -a LINUX shows it
is registered (but one thing is that it shows its mac address as
000000000000, which is definitly bogus.

This happens from both my 95 machine and my NT machine.

This is mainly what I am concerned about right now, is why I am
getting network busy errors, as this is not the case on my 3 box
NT domain.

The other things that are bugging me is that I can't mount win95
shares on my linux box.

smbmount //wks1/c /wks1/c -U user -P pass

gives me this:

smb_don't_catch_keepalive: server->data_ready == NULL
mount error: Invalid argument

(fwiw, win 95 is set to user level security, and user 'user' & pass
'pass' are from the NT domain, but also is an account that I created
local on the '95 machine)

I am thinking that it has something to do with the fact that win '95
is using user level security (using NTs user database)

But, I also get this message when I shutdown, and I only have NT
shares mounted.

Any pointers or input welcome. Thanks!
