Yes it is & thanks.

This wasn't it though. HOWEVER, I've stumbled onto it. I'd always used 
ignore entries for the partitions in which I'd put the extended
partitions, eg:

/dev/sda4                 none                      ignore 0 0 0
/dev/sdb4                 none                      ignore 0 0 0

Pretty normal, not a problem before, always worked. Those linnes are
now a problem & anything beneath them won't exist in 5.2. It don't
like that no more. Make them go away & life will be good. Others will
become friendlier & somehow better-looking. :-)
