Hi,
After doing battle with this annoyance for some time, I think I'm about to
submit a bug report to Netscape. The following post not too long ago to
this list at least confirms that its not just me that is having this
problem:

Subject: StarOffice Personal Edition: Where?
I tried using the form at StarDivision, but I keep having some kind of
problem where the form tells me I omitted my Last Name. I suspect it's
java-related because I can't input anything into a text field after
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
selecting a country. I run Netscape Communicator 4.05 on Red Hat 5.1
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
(kernel 2.0.34).
------------------------------------
The problem, as I see it, is every time I select an item from a popup
list, I can no longer enter text into a form without either a) holding
down a mouse button, or b) restarting Netscape.
I'd appreciate hearing from list members if they've experienced similar
problems, their systems setups, etc. so I can perhaps rule out it being
some bug in the mouse driver where it still thinks the mouse button is
depressed or something.
I've noticed this problem in pretty much every version of Netscape with
sorts of kernels, and with both libc and glibc versions of Netscape so
whatever the bug is, its pretty ubiquitious. And if no one else has seen
this problem, please let me know also so I don't waste Netscape's time
(although I sometimes wonder if they even read bug reports) and so that I
start looking for other causes of the problem.
Thanks,
Kevin
