5.2 seems picky about spacing.  These lines will work, if they are the first
non-comments in your file.   Spacing counts.  I think it's a bug in the
parsing.

/dev/sda6               /                       ext2    defaults        1 1
none                    /proc                   proc    defaults        0 0
