Hi all,
Back on the HD params again. Ok, I know that my HD has a certain amount
of C/H/S by noting what the HD reports to the BIOS at bootup.
8894/15/63. However linux reports 523/255/63 and upon boot I get some
Drive Seek Errors etc w/kenel 2.0.35 and NOT in 2.1.126. Note I have
played with the hd=c,h,s with no effects. And am basically concerned
that I may not be getting all the drive space availible if linux get ths
parameters wrong (c/h/s)
Now my first question is:
1. When initially installing linux, is there a way I can specify exactly
how many C/H/S so that I don't get the 523/255/63 that linux reports and
I get all of my drives space availible?
2. Already having linux installed what is it that I can do?
thanks a ton!
