ya, it's like that to run any executable program (from a directory that's 
not in your path)  you'd just have to edit your .bash_profile and put a .
in the path (that's right, just a period)  BTW, i heard that doing this 
for the root login can create a security hole but you're probably just 
running linux on a standalone anyways right?
