Netscape-java problem

I currently have Netscape 4.5 (the newest...) installed on my RedHat 5.0
machine, but it will not do Java. If I load a page with a Java app,
Netscape just quits. When I tun it from an xterm window it gives a "Buss
error" on its way out.
Any ideas, either on what the problem is or on what I could do to find out
more info?
