I use the Pg.pm module and perl CGI scripts. I bought "Learning Perl" from
O'Reilly, and an SQL book from Amazon.com, then used the examples on the
Pg.pm man page to get started. If you're familiar with perl and SQL, it's
not hard at all.
I found PHP and other tools to have just as much of a learning curve as
learning perl and you have to know some SQL anyway. So I just learned some
perl. I'll be able to use that knowledge for other projects, while other
Web/db tools are only good for one thing.
