Dear Linux Gurus:

This is not directly related to Linux per say, however, I know that
there is someone out there with the knowledge to help me out.

I've got a unix box(AIX) that is having some networking problem.
When I ping the AIX box using the default byte size of 32, I get
successful replies. However, when I ping with a byte size of larger
than 32 bytes, say 1400, I get request time out after a # of pings.
The time out occurs a few times, then I get successful replies
again. There is no pattern to the time out. I can ping my other
unix server using the same bytes size, and I will get successful
pings.

I have changed the cables and the port, however, the problem is
still presisting. Also I notice that each time a ping time out occurs,
my telnet session gets frozen for a while. I have checked the
processor utilization, and it shows that utilization % is low.

Anyone have any idea?
