Hi all,
Piggy backing off of this, I have been having the same trouble. I
noticed that the default RH install has a "modules.dep" in the
/lib/modules/2.0.xx directory and upon boot the system looks for it.
When I build a custom kernel the file is not made. What is going on?

Also:
>This is not recomended but if you gonna put the link manually make sure
you omit the part in
>/etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit that deletes the old /lib/modules/preferred and
>tries to create a new one.

What is the recommended way?

thanks
-aaz
