Hi,
I've got a Sony VAIO PCG-505G laptop on which I've installed RedHat 5.1.
The cdrom drive it comes with is a bit of an oddity though. It's a Sony
PCGA-CD5 which uses some sort of pcmcia card to connect to the laptop.
pcmcia-cs-3.0.5 doesn't recognise the card:
Nov 4 18:39:22 doodah cardmgr[195]: unsupported card in socket 0
Nov 4 18:39:23 doodah cardmgr[195]: product info: " ", "NinjaATA-",
"V1.0", "AP00 "
There is no useful documentation with the card which just has "CD-ROM
INTERFACE PC CARD" printed on it. Anyone ever managed to get one of these
things to co-operate?
regards,
