Could anybody please exlain what this line does? I just
keep getting "No response to authenticate PAP-requests" from my ISP. It
was working fine over a month ago, and all of a sudden it started coming
up with his message quite often. However, if I redial over and over
again without changing any settings, it seems to get through sooner or
later. In any case, after I entered the line pasted above in the PPP
options, it seemed to improve somehow, although I still experience the
problem most of the time.

So, could anybody please explain to me, first the cause of
my problem, and second the meaning of that line in the PPP options?
Thanks in advance.
