Thanks Rick, but it was a generic question. I've had much the same trouble
with various video cards / monitors.

Someone on the list might be able to help if you can post a wee bit
more information. Generally, video card data, chipset, RAM, and the
Manufacturer & model number of your monitor, along with the vertical
refresh rates and horizontal synch data would make it possible to help.
