Look at the file /etc/named.conf (or it may be /etc/named.boot
depending on what version of named RH4.1 uses)

There should be reference to the domain for your machines,
and one for the reverse domain, like this -

(from named.boot)
primary mydomain.com db.mydomain.com
primary z.y.x.in-addr.arpa db.reverse

The file to look at is db.reverse - check the contents of
this file, and dont forget to change the entry in the boot
file (or named.conf as appropriate). The z.y.x is taken
from your class C address of x.y.z.0 (note the octets are
put in reverse order.
